The story

It's 5:43pm. You close your laptop after the umpteenth call of the day. Your eyes feel fried. You're tired — but wired. The quiet doesn't come by itself. That's where Mirestia began: with the realisation that everyone around us felt the same, and that most solutions felt clinical. Or ugly. Or both — yellow tints, plastic frames that feel like gadgets from a wellness shop, not like something you wear proudly into a meeting.

We believed it could be different. That glasses reminding you to be more deliberate about your screen time could also be beautiful. That European craftsmanship and considered design need not be reserved for frames above €300 — and that a brand honest about what it can and cannot promise ultimately earns more trust than one that promises everything.

Our philosophy

"Ritual. Not remedy."

We make no medical claims. No "blocks 99% of blue light". No "clinically proven". The scientific debate around blue light is nuanced, and we're not going to dress that up to sell you something. What we do believe: that switching off deliberately is already half the benefit. A Mirestia frame is the starting point of that ritual — not the cure, but the signal that you take yourself seriously.

Design & Material

Our frames are made from bio-acetate — a plant-based material that feels lighter, is hypoallergenic and less environmentally damaging than conventional acetate. The hinges are titanium. Every frame is CE-certified and meets European safety standards.

The clear lenses have a multi-layer AR coating and filter the relevant part of the blue light spectrum — without colour distortion. No yellow tint disrupting your work on screen. What you see is what you get.
